Piano Masterclass with Professor Alexander Hannemann
Alexander Hannemann studied piano (performance) with Prof. Edmundo Lasheras in Detmold and Orchestral Conducting with Prof. Hans Dieter Baum und Prof. Christian Ehwald at Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. In 2021 he was promoted to the position of Professor of score- and ensemble studies at Hochschule für Musik Detmold, after more than 20 years’ experience as kapellmeister and performances of more than 60 works for stage and theatre. Prof. Hannemann conducted orchestras of many renowned t theatres throughout Europe and his repertoire spans from Baroque to Modern Music. From 2009, he was kapellmeister of the Hessian Staatstheater Kassel.
Participants in the masterclass will present a recital on Tuesday, 26 July, at 6:30pm at St. James' Cathedral on the AFCM grand piano.

Clarinet Masterclass with Solo-clarinettist Susanne Heilig
Susanne Heilig is solo-clarinettist at Philharmonic Orchestra in Bielefeld, Germany. She studied with Hans Deinzer in Hannover and Hans-Dietrich Klaus in Detmold and was a member of the State Youth Orchestra and Young German Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the Orchestra Academy of the Bavarian radio and the Bavarian State Opera. With her ensemble: Prisma and Klangforum Heidelberg, she is also devoted to chamber music and the performance of modern compositions.
