ABRSM will offer a workshop about their syllabi and exam structure on Friday, 21 June, 6:30pm. In addition, our members are invited to vote on two topics that will be presented in the workshop as well.
If you would like to vote, write down the topics (A, B, C, D, E) in the order of your preference. Voting closes on Sunday, 12 May.
The topics are:
A) Assessing musical performance: gain helpful insight into the aspects of musical performance. The session will demonstrate how examiners apply the ABRSM marking criteria.
B) Assessing Aural skills: Discover why aural skills are so important and how to help your pupils develop them.
C) Making Scales fun: Discover the value of scales for all instruments and come away with musical ways of teaching them.
D) Developing sight-reading skills: Explore the skills needed for fluent reading from notation.
E) Developing musical knowledge and understanding: Discover why music theory is essential to effective musical learning and progress.
